Nothing surpasses a building with so much history, tradition and heart-warming stories, revitalized into something better than it was before. At LIUNA Station you’ll feel the history as soon as you step into this 1930’s neoclassical train station. Located in downtown Hamilton on the culturally diverse and artistic street of James Street North, Liuna Station is beautiful place to have your special event. James Street North offers many amenities for your guests to enjoy before or after your event, or in between you ceremony and reception for your wedding. Restaurants, bars, quaint shops, bakeries and the Historic Landmark – The Lister Block are in walking distance for your guests to enjoy. Hotels are just a step away – Sheraton Downtown just at the corner of King & Bay, Homewood Suites by Hilton at Main & Bay, and Staybridge Suites at King & Caroline are all wonderful choices for your guests. We are also steps away from Hamilton Bayfront Park, Pier 8 and Pier 4, which are beautiful spots to get photos taken, or take a stroll after a lovely meal. Surrounding our station is a beautiful landscaped garden complemented by a spectacular stone fountain, designed to provide a stunning backdrop for any wedding ceremony. LIUNA Station can also offer our magnificent Grand Lobby for your ceremony, set with chairs for your guests, creating an aisle for the Bride’s big entrance. When you first call LIUNA Station, you will be greeted by one of our lovely receptionists who will help you find the appropriate room for the number of guests you are inviting and we will see what dates are available. They will invite you to come visit us for a tour of the facility so you can see the different halls and meet the staff that will be running your big day. If you like what you see we will make an appointment for you with one of our sales coordinators to create a proposal. This is when you will get a better idea of the options you have for your event or wedding and the pricing. We have many options for events of all sizes. When you are happy with your proposal quote and would like to book, we will secure your date with a deposit. After that is completed you will come back closer to the date of your event or wedding for a final details meeting to confirm your menu, linens, and let us know of any special things happening for your event so we can ensure that your plans are coordinated properly. Of course, if you have any questions before the final details meeting, do not hesitate to ask. We are here to answer questions Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm or leave us a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible. LIUNA Station has become the destination of choice for all kinds of events – conferences, baptisms, bar and bat mitzvahs, formals, fundraisers, bridal showers, awards dinners, lectures, weddings, engagement parties and more. Whether your guests list is large or small, our four ballrooms can serve up to 700. We have over 300 spaces of free parking. We have welcomed the company of celebrities such as Wayne Gretzky, Dalton McGuinty, Lennox Lewis, Andretti Family and many more. LIUNA Station’s Executive Chef specializes in fine, gourmet Italian dining, but can accommodate any menu requests you may have. Dietary concerns can be addressed easily so you can be sure all your guests can enjoy a wonderful meal. Here at Liuna Station, ee always prepare fresh gourmet foods, with the freshest ingredients, for every event and for every taste. Our wait staff is dedicated; privately assigned to only your party for the evening. They are professionally trained, courteous and tastefully uniformed.
